Hard Drive Space Full

Free up space on a simulation computer's hard drive

First, determine the exact version of the software build being run on the simulation computer

Delete Unnecessary Database Backups

  1. Open the following location on the PC with the full hard drive: C:\5DT.
  2. Open the Database_Backup folder.
  3. Open the folder that corresponds to the version of the software running on the simulator machine.
  4. With the exception of the most recent, delete all the EntityReportSpecificXml folders and Users97 files.

Delete Unnecessary Recordings

  1. Open the following location on the PC with the full hard drive: C:\5DT.
  2. Open the build folder that corresponds to the version of the software running on the simulator machine.
  3. Next go to the following location within the build folder: Data\Modules\Default\Users\Recordings
  4. Delete all the files which are more than 6 months old.

Empty the Recycle Bin

  1. Right click on the Recycle Bin on the desktop.
  2. Select the Empty Recycle Bin option.
  3. Select Yes on the dialogue box that appears to empty the recycle bin.
